Winter riding gear

The search for the right winter riding jacket continues. This birthday gift to be needs to stay under $200, and keep me safe, warm, and dry. From the tips I'm getting off the DSN KLR650 list, this seems very doable. At this point, I have several to choose from and only need to decide which one suits me best. I think a 3/4 length makes sense so that's a start. I want to get an order out this week too.
I'm also getting some leads on riding pants and will have to give this serious thought too. I haven't been however...
